Programs for every stage of life

Strength and balance are what keep you on your feet and doing what you love. Each program builds them gently, at your own pace.

Nikki leads a seated overhead stretch while participants follow along from their chairs.

Chair fitness

Strength, flexibility, and heart-healthy movement done seated, or standing with the chair for support. It builds the everyday strength behind getting out of a chair, carrying groceries, and walking with confidence.

Good for older adults, anyone rebuilding strength, and groups with mixed abilities.

Gentle yoga

Slow, breath-led yoga that eases stiffness and calms a busy mind. Poses are adapted with chairs and props so they meet your body where it is.

Good for beginners and anyone who wants a calmer practice.

Ballet barre

Nikki’s dance training at work: posture, balance, and lower-body strength from ballet-inspired exercises, with a barre or chair back for support. No dance experience needed.

Good for anyone who wants better posture and steadier balance.

Yoga therapy

One-on-one sessions built around your body and your goals, like moving with more ease, improving balance, or returning to activity. You leave with a plan you can practice at home.

Good for individuals who want personal attention.

Mindful tips and insights

Breathe first

Before you stretch or stand, take three slow breaths. It settles your attention and gives your body a moment to get ready.

Let the chair help

A sturdy chair is a partner, not a crutch. Holding its back gives you the support to practice standing balance with confidence.

Practice balance a little, often

Balance responds to practice at any age. A few seconds on one foot while holding the kitchen counter, done every day, adds up.

These are general suggestions, not medical advice. Check with your doctor before starting a new exercise routine.

Adult ballet

It’s never too late to dance. Ballet at the barre builds posture, balance, and graceful, confident movement at any age.

Nikki’s dance training shapes every class: classic barre work, the flowing arm movements of ballet, and simple combinations set to music. The barre is there for support whenever you want it, and every step has a gentler option.

No dance experience, ballet shoes, or leotard needed. Comfortable clothes and socks work fine.

Yoga for kids

Playful yoga and movement that helps kids burn off energy, find their balance, and practice calming down.

Nikki brings her dance training and yoga experience to classes built for short attention spans: plenty of movement, simple poses, balance challenges, and breathing kids can use when big feelings show up. Nobody has to sit still for long.

Classes are available for schools, summer camps, and community programs.

Ask about yoga for your group

Before your first class

The questions people ask most often.

Do I need to be flexible or fit to start?

No. Flexibility and strength are what you build in class, not what you need to begin. Every movement has a gentler option.

I use a cane or a walker. Can I join?

Yes. Classes are built around a sturdy chair, so you can stay seated or use it for support the whole time.

What if I have a health condition?

Mention it when you reach out. As a certified yoga therapist, Nikki adapts movements to individual needs. It’s also wise to check with your doctor before starting something new.

Can Nikki teach at our senior center or community?
